Organizations

Team management and invite-based access control in SculptOps.

What is an organization?

An organization is the isolation boundary for playbooks, inventories, servers, SSH keys, schedules, executions, and settings. Users collaborate inside an organization according to their assigned role.

Creating the first organization

The first user to register on a fresh instance creates the initial organization during signup.

Inviting members

Organization admins can invite members from Settings - Members. Choose the invitee’s email address and initial role: admin, member, or viewer.

Invitation flow

  1. An admin creates an invite.
  2. The invitee opens the link and creates an account.
  3. The invitee is added to the organization with the selected role.
  4. Pending invites can be revoked by admins.

Managing members

Admins can change member roles, remove members from the organization, and revoke pending invites.

Warning
Be careful when granting admin access. Admins can manage members and sensitive organization settings.
Note
Member email addresses are only visible to admins. Other members see names and roles only.

Organization-scoped data

API routes and dashboard views are scoped to the current organization. Resources from one organization are not shown in another organization.
